I'd love to see some pics Don. Y'all have much different weather than we do down in the valley. I haven't see any wheat anywhere close to being ready yet around here.
250 acres per day...is that all with one combine (is that what you use?) or do you have multiple combines running? Sun up to sun down?

We use 3 John Deere combines, and 4 trucks. I'll post some pics when I can, the first couple of days are always a PITA.........I've got a "green" crew this year so anything can happen!

What a screwed up day! Out of 3 combines only 2 made it into the field...........$700,000 worth of combines and 1 breaks down 40' into the field! I just spent $22,000 on parts to get it ready, and I didn't cut anything with it till about 3:00. It's fixed now tho Only had time for a couple of pics today, will try again tomorrow.

Well, Harvest is now over. And so am I. My partners ( 1 is a lawyer, the other is a "bean' counter) are trying to cheat me out of some of my share. The last 2 days I've removed all my biodiesel operation from the ranch ( it was always mine) and now will take some time off and try and figure out what to do next. I have a standing offer from another company to head there engineering dept, but am tired of making other people the big bucks. I'm thinking of forming my own consulting company, but may just retire........
Lawers suck

Their loss, not mine. Without my biodiesel operation they'll have to spend $40,000 more on fuel next year, and 3 of my workers left when I did, so now they don't have enough bodies to plant next years crop. If they keep making decisions like this they won't have a ranch to run. Their dad was a life long friend of mine, and he must be rolling in his grave..............
