Question Looking at getting a 94 F350 4x4 7.3 Turbo

What mods can be done to improve gas milage? Has anyone experiemented with used veggie oil or know where to get biodiesel from? Here in Norfolk VA there are two places that sell biodiesel according to mapquest.

anything to allow it to breath better will help mileage, such as intake, exhaust, minor turbo upgrades...
An intercooler will also help mileage.
but one of my favorite quotes is " the best fuel mileage improvement one can make is a weight reduction of the right foot"
Also, a good tuner company (dp tuners or tony wildman) will offer an econo. tune. slightly changes injection timing for optimal combustion.
A few guys over in the bio/VO forums run these guys on 100% bio, and WVO conversions are available. Keep in mind WVO is different from biodiesel.
It looks like you already have the truck?
DITCH THE K&N! YOU'LL DESTROY YOUR TURBO WITH DUST!

So the K&N is a dust magnet, is K&N good for anything other than allowing the engine to breath better, or do you recommend a better brand. I got rid of the big dually just didn't change my signiture yet though. I miss it even with diesel being more expensive.
What about Diesel secret energy talking about 46cents per gallon by using their product and used veggie oil still.

The K+N is not a dust magnet which is the problem. If used in the stock air box its terrible (stock box is junk anyway) K+N's allow too much dirt past. Some have had good luck with them. LUCK is the key!

DSE is a scam! You can use straight veg oil but it means vehicle modifications to get the oil heated before it ever gets to the injectors. It can be done without DSE but is has to be done correctly. Getting your hands on oil is nearly more painful than fueling at a gas station right now. Free used fryer oil is quickly becoming a thing of the past!
