01 Harley Edition rough idle

Hi guys new to this forum! Have an 01 Harley. It has a rough idle at a stop, and intermintent surge at stop. Also the check engine light goes on and off?

First thing you need to do is put a code reader on it and post the codes it returns. It could be any of a variety of things causing it... would need the codes to narrow it down.

Clean the EGR valve, and the cross- overs to the intake. clean em good too, this is the #1 check engine code on F150's.

Do not buy a new EGR, they are built to last ( kid you not)

You can also pull the TPS, ISC, and shoot some (mass air cleaner) down there as well, they both have small openings that Carbon up!

Drop your egr via SCT2....just install a block off plate and cap the other end (at the exhaust manifold) and yer done with that pos......besides....who ever thought that putting HOT air into a super charged motor was a good idea.......

WAT? Shotgunning parts and "fixes" without knowing the whole problem must be the new thing...
