mav- for wheels pick a style in aluminum you like and go for it- alu will not be prone to rust and nastiness like the steel wheels on the black truck.
Tell you what- leave the steel wheels on the black truck, drive it to Oregon, and I'll give you $2000 over what you paid. How can you pass that deal up?

Yup, I FINALLY got the white truck running again...it only took a new starter (had mine rebuilt) and a new battery harness...but she is alive again.

Also thanks for the info on the wheels superduty...I am looking at rims right now online. I am also assuming that the alu wheels are lighter than steel too right?
I wouldnt mind driving to oregon for 2K.....I couldnt tell if you were joking or serious

I'd like to be serious, but I don't need another truck payment- my wife would KILL me
I couldn't tell you if alu wheels are lighter than steel or not- I know they are typically much thicker than a steel wheel so weight is probably pretty equivalent.

So I bought the truck thursday night and it is amazing!!!!
I took a few pics for yall...
I took it for the first longer drive (1.5 hrs each way).
I also had the chance to have some fun w/the 4x4 a little too.

I am going to be making a pretty good sized road trip in her from Aug 1-Aug 7th....going from deep east texas to roswell, NM. I am pretty excited about it all...its nice to finally have a truck that isnt going to fall apart on me

I have some better pictures but I am still uploading stuff.

At the theatre to see X-Files

Playing a little off-road

He was asking $6750 but I got him down to 6K and convinced him to trailer it up here to me. The trans and x-fer case only has 2500 miles on them so hopefully the truck should last me a while.

The white 1-ton (only off-road use now) was starting to become a money pit....everything was starting to break and it was costing me a lot o money to keep street legal so I decided to cut my losses and save the repair money to buy a truck that wont need to go into the shop every week.
