DIY bedliner on bumpers

I'm thinking of putting a Duplicolor or Hecules DIY bedliner kit on the bumpers and maybe along the bottom of the box sides of my FX4 and was wondering if you guys think that it will hold up, or should I just take the truck to a profesional and have it done?

ive seen trucks with this done to them, but i couldnt say whether it was a DIY or professional job. a DIY job like this could save you big $$$, and then if it doesnt work, it could be taken in to get done. if you choose to DIY, then just keep in mind that it only works as good as the prep job.... that being said, scuff it up real good, and then clean it real good so it sticks. keep us posted on how it turns out.

on another truck i had before my 04, i did the diy bedliner on my bed, toolbox and headache rack. it all looked good and even. i did it with the duplicolor spraygun that syphons out of a gallon can. well the good look only lasted about 3 months and then started peeling. i did sand everything but that was all the prep i did. you have to make sure you clean it too with degreaser and something else. i cant remember what it is. i think hurculiner sells a prep kit for diy bedliners. good luck to you and keep us posted on the results
