Cool need help

ok guy i have read other forms, i have a aux tank and it had gas in it, about 5 gallons of gas and maybe 2 gallons veg oil went in to the tank before i relized it. i added some atf and some additives to pull lube in the motor and put about 10 gallons of diesel so far in tank. it runns good for a while then runs rough or stalls i restart it and let idle it keeps doing it over and over. what should i do. just change filters and add more diesel and additives. then idle for a while untill gas is run through.

Without doubt you've got a mess on your hands. To get out of this I would drain that aux tank, slosh some diesel around in it, drain it, let it air out, refill with diesel, bleed the fuel lines if possible, change the filters, and then crank her over . Right now you're just making a bad situation worse. No telling what your injectors will look like if you keep going as you described.

well i have the aux tank closed off now so im running on the main tank, witch the gas drain into. i have heard that a few gallons of gas will not hurt the truck if there is enough lube and diesel in the tank? should i go through the pain of draining the tank or fill her up with diesel and change the fuel filter and some more additives and let her idle?

Not true!! The flash point of gas is very high and this will stretch your head bolts or lift your head off if you keep pushing it through. I'm not one to tell people what they should or shouldn't do, but if it were me, I would have drained the tank right away as previously suggested!! You are gambling with a losing hand!!

You can get away with running a little diesel through your gas engine, but rarely get away with running any amount of gas through your diesel!!!
