Morning boys. A chilly start to the day at 7 above. Butchering some chickens again today.
Self employment isn't without its headaches, but it comes with benefits that are 2nd to none really. I'll enjoy it once again, while admitting that I'm a bit nervous to venture out again. Another guy with this company is planning on coming with me as he's not liking how things are going there. Great guy, same age as me and has pretty much the same years of experience.
Thanks again Morris for looking at that truck yesterday. I sent you another PM.
Have a great Sunday guys!!

Happy Sunday mornin'all. Power went out at 9am, and came back on at noon. I had to go into town to get Macdonalds for breakfast. I offered to make breakfast in the motor-home, but no taker's. Rainy and cold, so I guess I'll putsky around in the garage today. Hope everything works well on your own, Sherm. Have a great day guy's.
Hello all , hope all are well !
Finding a used trans for my mounty is harder than I expected .
$950 to $1400 for a used unit with 150 to 170 thousand miles!
We do not have a rebuild shop that can be trusted in my area .
Looking at buying a rebuilt unit for $2000 with a 3 year 100k warranty
verses 90 day on the used ones....

Don't tempt me !
If I had not had such a bad year , it would be no problem ...
Kids , and grandkids , moved back in .
Ex wife finally went to the state pin for 16 year term for manslaughter , Facing more charges on top of that ! My wife is a bit stressed , to say the least .
Just going day to day .

I enjoying looking at that Ranger last night Sherm, I couldn`t get over how rust free it was but I just wish it didn`t have the 290,xxx on the odometer. It is fairly well maintained tho.
Repost this same picture again in about 4-5 months Gerry, it`ll be really welcome then.
Too bad it was rainy and cold Grant, we did have a pretty darn nice day here.
$2000 for a rebuilt transmission seems a bit pricy JWC but then again I paid $3,200 for a rebuilt one for my 01 F250 Super crew with way less warranty. I guess it`s a crap shoot gambling on used ones. I`ve heard that Gerry loves flying south.
Looks like the fun never endings at your place, surely it`s just got to get better for you soon!

Morning boys. Another chilly one here. I guess it'll be like that now until the **** comes. I put the stars there...not FTE
Day time looks decent though, dry and mid 20's.
Glad you had fun looking Mo. I thank you for your help. I'll see what kind of agreement I can reach with David. In the same breath, I'm very interested in your (son's) Ranger once you have it looked at. I prefer the config of the white '90, but like the warm feeling of knowing how you treat your vehicles. Do you have a pic of your ranger by chance?
JW, hopefully your Ex's charges wasn't an attempt on you!! Sorry to hear of your troubles, but keep your chin up. Things could always be worse.
Heard yesterday am that some acquaintances of ours had their 16 year old son diagnosed with cancer. Man...that disease pisses me off exponentially. It doesn't play favorites with its next victim that's for sure. Penitentiary's full of criminals that don't deserve to live, yet innocent young lives are being threatened with these diseases. Something is "F'd" with the system methinks. Never take your health for granted boys.
Well, it's Monday, make the most of it boys!!

All is well. Other than the power outage. It bothered me because of the rain. We are on well and septic. when the power came on, the sump pump ran for about 2 minutes, compared to 20 second's. We have a big tank, and the sewage pump to the field cycled normally.
