John; I picked up the diff on Tuesday. I believe it's 59in. i'll measure it tonight. it's supposed to be 1 in narrower than stock. I'm Just waiting for the U-bolts, and top plate. I got the springs, and pad's yesterday. I forgot to order the spring/shackle bushing's and pin's. i'll do that today, from Old Car Center in Langley. they're the same price as Mid-fifties.

I'm looking into a front crossmember for my pickup I'm doing, I'm still kicking myself for letting that Explorer diff slip through my fingers, it was right here in town.

I watched Kijiji for a year before I found one with drum brakes. The wrecker wanted $350.00, and the you pull yard said they go fast and they charge $125.00. If I come across another one, or if you hear of one here, let me know and I can grab it for you. Do you want disc or drum?

I have another option of a 9" from a 67-72 that is sitting out in the bush near me that is a 31 spline and I do have one from a 83 F150 with 3.50 limited slip that I can change out the third member with. This would be my cheapest route but need to arm myself against all the mosquitoes. I'm sure it will need some new parts as well either way.

The 67-72 I believe is a straight bolt in.

That's what I've been told and seeing as I'll need new drums and shoes anyways I could always switch to disc's if I choose.

A friend gave me a 9'' with the right width, he didn`t remember what it was from tho he thought it maybe from a Granada. I have a 3.50 possi so I may go with that may I use if I go with an AOD.

There is a 67-72 f100 sitting in the bush near by and I have a diff from a 83 f150 that has a limited slip 3.50 gear set, both are 31 spline, 2 dimples on the axle shafts. The gear set only has 90,000 kms on it
