In the case of my last renter, I use the word loosely, he didn`t think being almost two months rent arrears was a big deal. He wouldn`t move till he was good and ready. It took a provincial rentalsman hearing plus the sheriff to evict him.

Landlord was here at 10 am, checked out the recordings, went upstairs and left 2 minutes later. The noise level or dirty looks will tell me what happened, he likes this security system.

A security system would have been great to show at the hearing when I was dealing with my tenant from hell.

I got this system for a few reasons and it's helped to clear up a few things plus it helped to find my keys once. Finding the keys saved me about half the total cost of the system.

EZVIZ t1080, 6 cameras but can handle 8, on sale $400 at best buy needs router and I ordered 2 100' cables, total cost of everything including mods to eaves about $800 . Worth every penny, would have been $1000 + more to have someone install it the way I did have pictures of what I all did

I saw a system similar to your`s at Costco. For my driveway and farm yard I want a wireless system which is only available through their web site, ac power supply is no problem.

My cameras are good for -40 and I have them well sheltered. Try to avoid aiming the cameras towards any outside lights aim for the darkness. The cameras produce infrared light as a result it looks like there is a spotlight on my front yard at night but its dark to anyone walking by. The infrared reflects off of the wall of my house as its close to the camera. No complaints about system but had to adjust the cameras due to how I mounted them

Off the phone and on the laptop now. I bought a 50' HDMI cable to hook up a 24" TV in the front room so that I can monitor my system while sitting on the couch and can see it from the kitchen, also have a 50' cable hooked up to my router so that its beside my desktop. The heart of the system is in the cats room and I have an old computer monitor hooked up to it so that I can view the system and work the mouse from there. Landlord liked the way it was hooked up. The DVR makes a bit of noise but I don't hear it as its in the cats room. Sure is quiet here tonight and having no vagrant dope dealer son hanging around keeps it that way. 22 days from moving in to being evicted, nice having a landlord that is cooperative, told him that I would do the repairs and paint if he supplies what I need to do everything in order to fine tune this place. This time the labour is on me, next time its all on his nickel. The better the place presents itself, the easier he can get $1400 a month for the upper and the less likely I'll ever see a rent increase.

The camera that aims at the back gate has a foggy spot right at the gate from the street light on 46th, half a block away and the infrared picks it up. The cameras between the houses were picking up a lot of light reflection from my place so I had to redirect them a bit. It looked like I had a spot light on my house while the neighbors looked normal, it's all in the infrared light deflection, but I have no complaints. We could see every aspect of the kid upstairs doing his dope deals with no chance of misrepresentation of what was going on, this system actually is protecting 3 houses directly and when I redirect the front cameras I'll be able to see the street from the opposite side of 19th down to Blairs fence which is the alley. Mark and Sue had a burning pit going and my backyard camera made it look like their house was on fire, got me outside fast lol.

I guess there`s pro`s and cons about cameras. It would be interesting to see what my outdoor cat food goes down so quick the odd evening.

Costco should have some decent game cameras that'll help you spot that skunk or racoon Morris
Good evening John
