The problem is that I get carried away Perry, I end up looking at $24,000 units which is way over kill. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details....dId=1178275622
You`d love it here, it`s in the low 20`s with a nice breeze..

It's been around 10°-11° here in the mornings. this will be the test for the panel because with the by-pass thermostat the Vintage Air says to use on colder morning it wouldn't come up to operating temperature, if you put a regular thermostat in it would over heat. Now that I have made my own by-pass it should work correctly..

Nice to get that out of the way. How did you make your own by-pass?

I used the port under the thermostat on the intake manifold and tied into the return heater hose..I was going to do this last year but a mechanic told me it wouldn't work. I took it out for a 30 mile road trip and no over heating problems and by the temperature gauge you could tell when the thermostat was opening and temp dropping a few degrees. Pretty sure I have that problem solved, next I have to try and get the cruise control operating..

I`m unfamiliar with the port under the thermostat but it sounds like it`s working for you.

There are several areas on the manifold that has some removable plugs for installing heat sending switches and the like , just used the one that was available..I'll try and get some pics some day and post them..

That makes a lot of sense, wonder why your mechanic said it wouldn`t work?

It's been under 20c for so long here that it was a shock to the system for it to go up to 26 or 28c, it's the only part of the yard with no shade and the hardest job on the site. Got rid of a 8", and 2 - 4" stumps, pita digging down a foot in order to cut them out, should have been done years ago when the neighbor had their sidewalk poured as they were their trees originally. Now I can install batter boards and build the last 3 panels of the long fence.

Thats quite the yard tractor but 23k is a bit much, keep checking your auctions, may get a good unit for the price of this ones deposit Morris. John Deere skid steers were fuel guzzlers, hope the tractors aren't the same way.

Have no idea but it made perfect sense to me but he got me second guessing myself last year so didn't bother to do it until I thought it over and bought the pieces I needed..

With my back I don`t dare dig with a shovel Perry, fortunately my Bobcat does the digging for me. I borrowed my neighbour`s Bobcat attachment for removing stumps that works really slick, takes about 20-30 seconds to remove even a good sized stump with minimal dirt.
Around here there are way too many acreage folks that drive up auction prices on small tractors and attachments. It seems like they print their own money! I had a JD 755 tractor that seemed to run on air, it has a small tank but ran a long time before fill ups.
