1/2 .....Index for "Mods" spreadsheet (again, list ONLY - no active links):

There are MANY reasons to modify the Ford 6.0L SUPERDUTY. In MANY cases, there is much to be gained from the mods. The 6.0L truck can gain significant RELIABILITY from a large number of mods. LARGE performance gains can be achieved from this engine and drive train. Some fuel economy improvements are possible although they may be slight and often are negated by the "excitement" from the performance mods. Lastly, there are many things that can be done to customize and enhance the looks and the convenience of these vehicles.
Example of "modded" truck
Pull the cab
Miscellaneous information:
Place to buy specialty bolts:
Reliability:
Gauges
Coolant filter
CCV Reroute
ITP return regulated fuel system
Fuel Pressure Mods
Fluidampnr
Dual Steering Stabilizers (Death Wobble)
Tuner reliability with custom tunes - improves shifting, can minimize cylinder pressure
Tuners - Unreliable
Headstuds w/ stock gasket. Good to 400 rwhp - Custom gaskets if pushing over 400hp
Oil Cooler - change it out if you have the cab off or the engine out (they are known to fail unexpectedly)
HPOP and Bracket
EGR and EGR cooler delete
Exhausts - may or may not help performance. Can help lower EGT's
Miscellaneous - Reliability:
High Idle Mod
Block Heater Cord install - in climates that get below 10 degrees F
Oil pan heater install - in climates that get below 0 degrees F
Oil bypass filter
- FS-2500
- Oil Guard
Upgraded Intercooler boot (no more oil problems and no more blowing off due to high boost)
Transmission Full Flow Filter
PowerSteering Filter
Add-on Transmission cooler
Performance
Headstuds - Performance, wire ring gaskets to 500 rwhp, fire ring gaskets over 500 rwhp
Tuner - Performance
FASS or Air Dog fuel system (install after ITP RR fuel system)
Injector upgrades (Beans Stage 1 or higher)
Turbo upgrade or dual turbo's
Torque Converter and Tranny
Air Intake
Cummins Engine
Re-Gearing the Rear End
Miscellaneous - Performance:
Replacement brake rotors and pads
Intake Elbow
Porting, polishing, balancing, blueprinting
New front hubs and lockers
Steering Stabilizer
New / larger turbo OR compond turbos
New / intercooler
Up-pipe
Propane Injection
Exhaust Brake mod
Brake Rotors and Pads
Water / methanol Injection
FICM reprogram
Ported and polished heads
Cryogenic cooling elements and CO2 spray to Intake
MPG - Fuel Economy
SCT Xcal 2 or 3 Tuner - General Economy Tune (w/ EGR functioning) - 1MPG
Synthetic Oil - 5W40: flowability at startup, low ash, high temp stability - MAYBE 0.5 mpg
Fuel Additives - MAYBE 0.5 mpg
Ford TSB on bad mileage
Brainstorm ideas

we aren't able to send the spreadsheets by using the emails from this site. there is no way to put attachments on the emails sent from here. you are going to have to PM or email your email addresses to us in order for us to be able to attach them to the emails.

to send a PM click on our names and that will take you to our profile. next find the link that says "send private message" or "send email" then give us your email address and you will get them.

I don't know why - maybe because I'm a new user, but I can't find the send pm option... I'm sad, I'm already excited about the spreadsheets! Sounds exactly what every 6.0 owner need! Great job guys! My email dcaddi2@hotmail.com, I tried, but no luck with pm. If you could send it without that, I'd be really happy!
Thanks
