Did you download the fusion software? You download that, set up an account, they mail you a password, then you log in, it tells you to hook it to the computer, the screen flashed blue or green really fast for about 30 minutes, it says it's done, and you put it in your vehicle. I updated my friends before he had to send it back to them for something.

Couldn't have said it any better myself...

Not sure if we have to do this, but I also return my truck back to the stock calibration and then disconnect the edge from the truck. Plug it into your USB port on your computer and the Fusion software will check your level.

Never thought about that part...My friend's was brand new and wouldn't even load until it was updated. I'd definitely set it back to stock prior to updating. Might lose your original PROM load (PCM) if you don't. I have no idea if that's the case, but I wouldn't risk it.

You MUST return the vehicle back to stock before updating. Fusion (or Lightning for the earlier versions) will not update the unit if the trucks is still in a programmed level.

I was using the Lightning program that came with the edge, did the updates, had a few problems with it not wanting to update saying the memory in the chip was corupted, i called edge, and they walked me thought deleting lightning and installing fusion. It was alot easier to update, and after updating it, i noticed alot of difference. the edge helped out alot more. i guess just cause it was just using old software. It shifted alot better, getting like 3 mpgs better now that i updated it. and you can monitor a few more things and change a few more things than i used to with the lightning
