98-99 Explorer Rear Disc Swap

Is it a bolt-on affair to take the disc brake setup from the rear of an Explorer and install them on a drum brake Explorer axle?
I ask besause my son found a 98 drum brake axle with a 4.10 Trac Loc cheap and wants to put it in his 99 and swap his disc setup to the drum axle.
Thanks!

danr1 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
No not a "bolt on" kinda deal, not that it couldn't be done anyway but may be easier to swap the differential itself over if nothing is wrong with his housing and all he's really after is the TL.

Does his front differential have a 4.10 gear set? Or is he going to different gearing at the same time?
If it's not 4.10 up front he'll have to change it to at the same time.

I didn't think any of the 98 Explorers had drum setups. Are you sure it wasn't from a Gen I (91-94)?

It's a 2WD so the ratio matching isn't an issue.
Only going by what was in the ad as far as what year it is.
Probably be better off swapping out the gear set and diff.
