New to me 6.0L diesel

2005 F250 Crew 6.0L 52K miles

Have a question, It seems while driving at a steady speed 45mph or 55mph I don't think it matters it sounds like the engine is pulsating(sp). I can NOT feel it but with the radio off I can hear it. This is my first larger diesel engine and maybe this is normal??? Just wondering if someone has some info?

Thanks,
john

Every diesel engine makes its own noises. Mine could sound different than yours does. If its not exibiting any misfires or rough running, no SES light I would just keep your ear to it and see if it changes any for the worse. If there is a misfire on a diesel you will know it. Other than that welcome to the 6.0 forum and check out the tech folder at the top of the page. If you can get a hold of Bismic he has some great spread sheets he will send you on tips and tricks for the 6.0....lots of great reading in there. Good luck with the new truck and enjoy it.

Thanks,

It is running fine just not used to it yet as I have been driving gassers the past 12 years.

Started reading the tech folder and looks to be very useful. Thanks!!!
