f100 tailgate

Rock,
I don't think they will, I will measure tonight. I have a F1 and a F100. As you know they reconfigured things in 1953. Saying that, I don't think the beds are all that different in size. Someone will chime in soon with the answer.

Gordon,
I think it will "fit" as in it is the correct size/shape/mounting/etc. It will have block letters FORD instead of the script letters from the earlier trucks. I've seen several F-100's with the script gates on them. I'm not sure what is correct for a 52, but I'm sure one of the F-1 guys or gals will be along to provide more insight.
Good Luck!

BTW, make sure it is for a 6 1/2 foot bed and not the 8 foot express, as I know those will not fit.

they will all fit from 48-56. the beds where all the same except for the stake pockets and some indentation on the sides. as someone said previous, the only difference with tailgate is the Ford script. Cheers
