I had the tire shop tell me to rn them for a bit because they are curious about where the tread wear will be and an adjustment will be made if unaccdeptable. My truck is a dually with 235/85/16 tires. My fronts are wearing well. Here is how my rear tire treads are wearing:

====== |====+ +====| ======

Excuse my 'kid art' but if each row of '=' is one of the rows of threads, the '|' is where the thread feels higher (worn less) and the '+' is where its lower (worn more). The tire shop advised that the wear looked to be caused by underinflation and by adding air the '+' area should have more contact pressure with the road and wear better. This made it worse IMHO and the truck road too rough when empty. By lowering the pressure it seems like the two center rows of treads are evening out some. We looked at the tire shop owners truck - a dodge diesel SRW 4x4 and his rears are wearing the same way and his steering are just fine - I think they only rotated tires once on that truck.

My LTX A/T2's were replaced by the tire shop. The owner has Hankook's on his 1 ton Dodge that he tows with often. He has 40K on them and they look great. Mine now have a few hundred and look brand new ()!

No challenges yet from the weather or towing, but I'll post if I have any problems!

I went with the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors on my 2006 F-250 Lariat with the 18" wheels. I really like these tires, they seem to be wearing well after about 18,000 miles. Snow/Ice traction is awesome!! Only negative is I think I lost a little MGP due to the higher? rolling resistance.

Glad I bought these instead of the Michelin tires now.

I bought a set of Michelin LTX A/T2 in 275/70-18 Load E. I have since put 5k on them and towed with them (9k TAG). They have been fantastic. They are wearing great, have great traction, and are quiet. I have an '06 F350.

Firestone Transforce is a great tire also, I used them on a fleet of med. transport vehicles. Never seen a problem.

I'm taking it to the dealer Wednesday and have them do an alignment. Might be a waste of money, but I'm tired of messing with tires.
I run the M/S tires on an older F250SD (1999) and they've been great. The original Generals rode as if they were made of rock, the Michelins are smooth riders and still have 8/32" after almost 120km. Boy, I was hoping to keep using this tire when I have to replace the ones I've got - hope they haven't changed the compound or manufacturing specs.

I've run the Michelin M/S on both my 2000 E350 and my 2000 Excursion and have had great performance out of them on both trucks. I've actually run the M/S series and their predecessors for over 25 years on my E250, E350, Suburbans with excellent mileaged and wear. The only problem I ever had was cupping on the front end of one of my Suburban 2500's when I didn't rotate the tires.

Just an update. I now have almost 30k on them and they look great! I have rotated them 3 times each at about 10k. Looks like 40k should not be a problem.

Another update. 40k on them and I am starting to think I may need a new set kinda soon. Probably another 5k - 10k. I love these tires and I will get another set when they are done. Getting 50k out of these tires would make me pretty happy.

I know this is an old post but I have just put some 275/70-18 Kumho's on my '06 based on previous use on an F150 and my wife's Escape. So far the ride, wet traction and handling is much superior to the OEM Conti's plus I appear to have picked up about 1+ mpg based on a 1900 mile trip this past week. I do seem to have a bit of front 'shake' when I just start to go into a slight curve, but at 65K+ miles it might be the tie rod ends or other front suspension parts and need to crawl under the truck today to look(and of course fix - and hope it's not ball joints).

Another update. I lied, I now have 65k on them and based on my 40-60k wear I bet I get another 10k.

Wow, I am impressed with those Michelins. I just had to put new tires on an E-250 work van and we got ~115k out of the original Michelin LTX M/S2 tires. Needless to say we put the same tire back on it. I will be looking very closely when I need to put new tires on the F-250. The selection of 20" tires is not that great.
