514 pulling motor
Alright Im stepping up from a 400m(great engine) to a 514 monster. Ive decided to take out a loan and build my dream truck and this engine is just begging me to buy it. It was built for a pulling truck, 12.5:1 trw pop ups, scj 4 bolt main block and heads, ported and polished, single plain ported victor intake, and a big mother f***er of a cam. The cam has some where around .650 lift and about 325 duration. First question, will the dynamic comp. be low enough with that cam to run 93 plus some race fuel and octain booster. Its going in a 4x4 for off road and pulling but will see high way. What coverter should i run? c6, 35 inch tires, 4.88 gears. Thanks for the help guys

Check here Wallace Racing: Dynamic Compression Ratio Calculator
You'll need a few specifics about the engine; bore, stroke, rod length, static compression, intake valve closing point(ABDC)(found on the cam card, boost pressure, and altitude
