I need to find the EEC connector on a 96 E series van with a six cylinder and it does not seem to be near the drivers side under the hood area.
Also, any one know where I can find a list of codes on line for the same vehicle?

Verified 19 mpg city taking off slow as hell the shutting down at red lights, and with the radiator grill blocked flush, no bed cover, "drag shoot" mirrors on I get 24 mpg at 50 to 55 mph on the freeway empty!
However, with a bed cover, no mirrors and Hydroxy
If your '96 is under 8500lbs GVWR then it is OBD2 and the diagnostic connector is in the cab under the dash.
OBD2?!?!
I guess that implies my old 1990 Rotunda scanner II will not pull the codes?
A guy I work with said he took it to a dealership and they told him there were no codes, but the OD light on the shifter is flashing, and there is a hard first to second shift that I associate with center support that has grooves worn into it from the forward hub.

96-up is OBDII. The flashing light does indicate a tranny code or problem.
That's what I told him.
