Glad to hear that you got a good deal on a good computer. I have a problem with the touch pad too. I get a small wired mouse that connects with a USB cable. May have to go wireless as the wires don't last long in the wired ones with packing and moving it a lot. Whatever works for you is best.

If it has wheels and an engine, you have my attention.

Definitely get a wireless mouse, preferrably laser. I have a Kensington that is awesome. It just has a little USB receptor that plugs into the back of the laptop, and needs AA batteries about every 6 months.
In case you didn't know....the touch sensitivity on the mouse pad can be adjusted. That helped me out a bunch.

Thanks Lisa, I will look into that one. I have a wireless one with the desktop and I loved it.

Australian Farmers Growing Trees That Produce Diesel Fuel
Quote:
Farmers in North Queensland are doing their bit to be environmentally friendly by investing in a tree that produces diesel.Over 20,000 trees have been sold to farmers in the tropics by the man who introduced the diesel tree from Brazil.
The tree produces an oil that can be extracted, filtered and used to power vehicles and farm machinery.
Because, the Brazilian Copaifera langsdorfii can be tapped much like a rubber tree, but instead of yielding rubber it gives up a natural diesel. According to the nurseryman selling the trees, one acre will yield about 1250 gallons annually compared to about 30 gallons of ethanol produced from an acre of corn.
Once filtered no complex refining is required it can be placed straight into a diesel tractor or truck. A single Copaifera langsdorfii will continue to produce fuel oil for an impressive 70 years, with the only negative being that its particular form of diesel needs to be used within three months of extraction.
It is estimated a one-hectare crop could produce enough fuel for an average-sized family farm.
Mike Jubow, a former cane farmer and now a nursery wholesaler, says diesel-producing trees are a long-term investment.
"If I'm lucky enough to live that long enough - I'm 64 now - it is going to take about 15 to 20 years before they are big enough to harvest the oil so that I can use them in a vehicle," he said.
"Principally, they are an ideal plantation tree for a family farm where, from generation to generation, you will harvest this oil so that your grandson and your great-grandson can still be virtually getting free fuel from these trees 30 to 50 years in the future."
You tap these trees much like Vermont maple syrup? Wow, but I bet they need a tropical climate. Reincarnation is all that's gonna work for me though, no matter what climate they grow in.

The article says it takes 15 to 20 years to find out it your trees will bare fruit. Where will that guy be in 20 years. I think they are only guaranteed for 5 years. lol
It does sound good.

even though it produces more gallons in a year than an acre of corn. corn ethanol grows a hell of alot faster and corn is cheaper per acre takes less nutrients in a year and can be grown in about every climate im going with corn ethanol. ohhhh and corn ethanol can be made into diesel and it stores longer for facts on corn ethanol go to www.ethanolfacts.com

yes i support it whole heartedly. it supports farmers by 1. taking their grain and converting it into fuel. 2. the mash thats leftover from the distilling process is high in protien so you can feed it to the cows so you can putless corn in the feed rations and sell more corn to the ethonol plants. 3. the money stays in the u.s. 4. some farmers have invested in to the ethanol planst meaning if the ethanol plant makes money the farmers get a portion of the money back basically ethanol plants are like cooperatives 5. we can convert ethanol into diesel theres some info on the website that i wrote down in my last post. look at the website it has alot of information that i dont know about

Jacob, this is a double edge sword. Good for the farmers that grow corn, but bad for the ranchers, and farmers that don't grow corn. The price of feed right now is so high, I am almost embarrassed to sell it. Lots of people around here are having to sell off some of their stock because of the price of feed. Cattle prices are going down. But the price of meat in the market is up.

Rick i do agree with you there but corn gluten is just as good as corn. we use it on our farm to displace some corn so we can sell more corn. BTW what type of feed do you sell

We left a stoplight in a long line of traffic, i saw a huge cloud of smoke up in the air over the intersection, didnt know what it was. Thought it might been a old tractor trailer since that was at the intersection of Random House book manufacturing.... alot of truck traffic. Well did not see a modded diesel or a tractor trailer, so i kept on driving. Two miles later i see another huge cloud in the road, this time a lifted dodge on 22.5's and 7" miters is flying down the road the opposite way, apparently he turned around. This sucker was modded, i could see tire smoke at even very high speed, plus the huge cloud of smoke he left in the road ACTUALLY HAD PEOPLE PULLING OVER! Cars were pulling over to the side, some turned on their headlights, everyone slowed down, i switched to 140Dyno and just laid out my own line of smoke, the huge line of traffic behind me got very dark and the cars kept back a few hundred feet, even at the next stop light the car was hesitant to get within 50 feet of me!
So you got a new women now??? when did that happen?
Ive thrown done some smoke before and had people turn on their wipers and lights, but Im sure my cloud was nothing compared to yours..
