335 sections slow. what water pump are you running?

I figured since nothings been going on alot around here, id ask a question. i just got a weiand high flow aluminum water pump. it is supposed to flow 30% more than a stock, but its probably based on their small block chevy ones. is there any real down side to high flow except price and needing a different thermostat?

whats everyone else running for pumps? stock, aluminum, high flow or a combo of them?

yeah its kind of a dumb question but the small parts make the biggest differences in performance and reliability.

im not sure of the weight difference...the aluminum one is still a pretty heave piece because of the propellor in it.

I was considering the Flow-Kooler, only because they seem to have put some thought into the design - and it's about 50% of the cost of the Weiand or Edelbrock pieces.

I run th Flow-Kooler aluminum. I also have the Lincoln electric fan with a DC controls fan control. I have never had a problem. Just make sure you use anti-seize with the aluminum or it will fuse with the bolts.... major PITA.
