need wiring help

hey guys, im mechanically inclined, not electrically so i need help....i'm trying to clean up all of my crappy wires.....right now im working on the harness for the alternator/solenoid/regulator.....i got an uncut one in good shape from the salvage yard, but it is a little different.......there is an extra plugin that im unsure of and the hookup for the regulator is open in one slot and a wire is different....heres pics of my old one..

heres the new one..

heres the plugin that i dont know about (left side...3 wire)...

heres the hook up for the regulator that doesnt match up to my old one...

the third form the left on my old one goes to the alternator and ties in with the the wire that goes to the female end of the 2 hole connector...also wat does the letters on the reg. stand for???

That's exactly what the problem is. Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. The Altenator harness and the Main Harness is vastly different between Gauges and Warning lights.

The Letters if I remember correctly on the Regulator...

A: Altenator
S: Stator
F: Field
I: Indicator (Used only with warning lights)

On The Altenator:

B: Battery
F: Field
S: Stator
