I have had the arguement with people before about cats on my truck, it's a 2000 also and it's amazing to me how many people think that EVERY vehicle built after 1978 came with a cat. I even was at a ford dealer for another problem and the tech comes to me and says "your problem is your modified exhaust system, we can fix it by putting the cat back on and that will cure the problem" (I had an antilock brake code I wanted read, not sure what the cat has to do with that but oh well) when I told him my truck never came with one he starts threatening to turn me in for removing emissions equipment (he is a enviromental nazi type like many I have seen in person and on the net) finally the service writter informs him that only CA emissions trucks had them.
JTharvey is from Missouri. He has stacks, and when his truck was running (i know how he drives,) his stacks were always pouring coal out of them, especially with B codes. Now by the end of the summer he will be rolling even more coal!

I've never had a problem passing inspection with my stacks. Never been questioned by law enforcement either, and I live right by a Highway Patrolman who's house I have to drive by when leaving the house. For 3 years I've driven by his house...even without a muffler...and he's done nothing but wave at me as I drive by.
One thing I'll say about a MO inspection though, is that if you know the right guy or shop, you can pretty much get anything to pass inspection. Sometimes it just takes a little extra encouragement.
