stuck push rod please help!!!

I have a re-built 400 that has about 1200 miles on it,i let thr truck sit for about 3 years without running it,after gettin it running,i drove it for a day, pulled the exhaust off and ran it with open headers till i got my exhaust re-welded,once i put the exhausy on i heard a noise in thr passanger side valve train,i pulled the vavle cover and found the push rod for the intake valve on #1 cylinder was bent,i tried everything to remove it and it wont come out,i can move it up and down and turn it but it will not come out, could it be split or mushroomed? and does anyone have any suggestions on removing it so i dont have to pull the head? Please help

I'd take a flashlight and look right beside the exh push rod and see what going on. I don't think you would have to pull the head but the intake just maybe might have to come off. If you get the pushrod out and if the lifter is still in its place and you stick another pushrod in its spot, crank the engine over slow with a ratchet and see whats going on.
There is a reason why the pushrod bent. if the valve its self is siezed in the guide the head will have to come off anyway.
Good luck.
