MacDug is starting off with a positive reputation.
Smile My 98 4.2,,, LOVE OR HATE

I bought my Ford truck a year before I retired from the Air Force so I've had it for about 5 years. I LOVE MY FORD F-150!!. But I HATE Ford dealers/service centers! (but that's another story).. My first truck was a Chevy s-10 with the anemic 2.5L,, sold it, saw it a few years later, it was a rust bucket.

My truck has been across the country and back twice, been rock climbing (little rocks) and muddin' up in the Black Hills of South Dakota (never got it stuck,,, at least not bad) and pickin up girls at the Sturgis cycle rally!

I had to replace the battery in a blizzard, had that intake leak kill the engine; replaced it with an engine I bought from A two Z Engines and Transmissions ( don't call them,, they apparently went out of business right after i bought my engine and picked up my core,,, and didn't send my $400 core deposit back to me!!!). The only real annoyance I have with it is the reoccuring engine stalls I have after the engine has been run hard, I'm in a turn and using the clutch. Lastly,, I just had my oxygen sensor replaced while getting raped by the local Ford dealer. I won't go back to the dealer here,, but I will drive my SHORTBED STEPSIDE F-150 for as long as I am able.

P.S. I think it has a towing or off road package,,, but I don't know which.
