EGR valve/Thrttle plate removal questions

I have a 2003 F-350 with a 6.0L with 6-speed tranny, I looked at the earlier threads about disconnecting the EGR valve and it says something about the throttle plate that I have on top of the engine, I looked at the plug-ins and there is no prongs sticking out of the "so-called sensors" on the plate so basically there is nothing there, and I took the elbow off to see if there is a plate and there is none there. What can I do to remove this plate so I can get rid of this junk and try to let the air flow better, perhaps installing a power elbow for a 2005/2006 models? Will this do me any good or am I wasting my $$$$ and I am thinking about getting rid of the EGR valve also and I looked into getting the delete kit from ITP Diesel. Any suggestions? Thanks

william_04_x is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
if the TP is already gone, don't worry about it...if it's in there, don't worry much more..a new intake elbow(unless you have a really strong engine) won't show much benefit either...save the $$$ for something else..

egr(cooler) delete can save you some grief and expense in the future..

what is your goal? performance, reliability, increased mileage?

that's right...all of the above...
