Anyone else here live near houston, tx? i live in katy. I have heard about having to pay taxes on the fuel you make but found one article about if you blend your fuel with diesel(which you pay tax on) you are exempt from it. Also , has anyone run into anything about needing a permit to brew in your garage? i don't want to get fined for not contributing to the middle east's pocket book
i'm in ohio and its illeagle to even think about burning anything they didn't tax, and they don't give you an option to pay tax on your home brew. call you friendly state troopers (non emergency number) and they will give you some info that you probally will not like. ... then write/call your congressmen, and tell them what you think.

in NC you can make and use 1200 gallons a year untaxed and after that to stay legal you must run at least 5% petro diesel. this is all for non commercial use. all commercial use requires you pay a huge bond to esure they get there cut.. while we're on the "laws" topic, I made a batch of bio that had a red tent to it wtf.. would you guys chance this stuff and the fines or run it in a tractor??
