NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE: question on my '95 ford audio system
I have a '95 ford f-150, last spring I had a proffesional install a JVC cd player. I'm thinking about buying a '97 ford, and want take the JVC out and re-install my factory tape deck....here's the question...what do I have to do to get the JVC out of my dash? What do I have to take a part, and how do I do it? Your help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

How is yours set in, My Alpine is setin just like the Ford was. I took it out once, and took the chrome panel on, (says xlt,xl,whatever) and took the ac shroud, and then took it out enough to reach up in there, and play with it so it came out.

NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE: question on my '95 ford audio system
Hi, I used to own a retail car audio and security business and have done extensive installations on Fords for the local dealership. You don't have to take any part of your dash apart to get the radio out, it will slide right out with the proper tools. If the CD player has a removable faceplate, take it off as well as the trim ring if that is removable. You should find a small slot along the upper edge or along the side that will release the deck once the tool(s) are inserted. These release tools come with the CD player but sometimes install shops keep them so that you have to go back there to remove it. Which in my opinion is a rip off. I believe on the JVC, the release tabs are located on each side, you'll need something very thin and stiff to stick in there to release it. Good luck, and if you need any help feel free to contact me.

Hi, thank you for your information. It was very helpful. I have still have a question, though. My jvc is 940 model, I took off the faceplate and the trim ring. I have 2 slots on the sides, one on each side, and one slot on top of the player. The slots on the sides were where the trim ring hooks into. Can you help me out anymore? Thank you.
