Head Gaskets

Hey, guys and gals, This may turn out to be a silly question but can you reuse a used head gasket by spraying both sides with the copper spray for gaskets by NAPA. I'm fully aware that you're suppose to use new gaskets when you pull the heads, but I was wondering if it was advisable. I don't want to have problems down the rode, either. But I was going to take my engine to a shop and they might want the heads on for a compression test. Thanks in advance. Ralph.

there are NO silly questions if you don't know! it's not advisable but, call your engine shop and ask. worst case scenario- they leak and you get bad or false read. i personally would NOT re-use for everyday driving!
