Crackle, Pop, Duh-Stick

It had been a while since I drove my '56 f100; so when I finally went for a drive, I heard this crackle and pop sound somewhere from the front end. I wondered if it was my tilt frontend but ruled that out when I put a floor jack under the Driver's side frame and heard a couple more pops. I thought I had a cracked weld .....but I just had to hit myself with a Duh-stick when I realized that the MII balljoints needed greased ! What a difference...... .sometimes the simplest things get overlooked!
