I'm kicking around the idea of dropping in a late model (89+) efi 460 into my 77 1/2 ton 4x4. The original plan was a well built dove headed 429 but not having all the stuff for the 429 made me think I could probably buy a efi truck motor for around the same price as building the 429. I hope to find a complete donor truck to make things a bit easier, but i will take a engine with the pcm if it comes down to it. So if anyone has any experiance with this, i'm all ears...I need to know what to do with the fuel tanks/lines(I have 2 tanks), where the best place to mount the pcm, and what fuel pump or pumps work best.
