Looking For Interior "A Pillar" Covers

Need new covers but can't seem to find a dealer that sells new ones. I know I could probably get "junkers" but I would like new ones.

Blue would be nice.

I tried LCM and Blue Oval with no luck. Know of any others?

Thanks.

Try Dennis Carpenter.

Download the pdf: http://www.dennis-carpenter.com/pdf/80-89_trucks.pdf

and search for:

E0TZ-1003598-A

Then try not to spend the next couple of hours looking thru the rest of the catalog...

1980/86 F100/350 / 1980/86 Bronco / A Pillar trim covers/panels/mouldings

1980/86 F100/350 & Bronco: These A Pillar trim covers aka panels (Ford calls 'em Windshield Garnish Mouldings) only come "paint to match."

All the following parts are obsolete, an internet search of US Ford dealers parts inventories only turned up a couple of lefts.

E0TZ-1003598-A .. R/S W/Shield Garnish Moulding - without headliner / no Ford dealer has any.

E0TZ-1003599-A .. L/S W/Shield Garnish Moulding - without headliner / Robinson Ford Sales in Calexico CA has one / Maples Ford-Mercury in Warsaw MO has one / Anderson Ford-Mercury in Clinton IL has one.

or

E0TZ-1003598-B .. R/S W/S Garnish Mldg - with headliner / no Ford dealer has any.

E0TZ-1003599-B .. L/S W/S Garnish Mldg - with headliner / Bob Yoak Ford in ST Marys WV has one.

Obsolete parts seller greensalescompany.com has none.

Dennis Carpenter in addition to selling repro parts, also sells NOS (new, old stock) parts.

The NOS site is a PITA to use, because the actual description in the parts catalog needs to be typed in (moulding), then part numbers (in this case 603!!) come up.

I looked thru the entire list = None.

There is some listed in the regular Ford Truck parts section, not the NOS section, although I can't see if it tells you if there are any in stock. Go to Dennis Carpenter Ford Car, F-100,F-150 pickup and Cushman Restorations Click on the red shopping cart beside 1980-89 Trucks, then click on advanced search. In the top left pull-down list select (Search By) Part# and copy/paste (one per search) each of the part numbers listed by NumberDummy (No need to select category) then click Search.

The whole web ordering from Dennis C is far from ideal although I've stumbled my way thru once. I managed to get the Ford oval for the grille and some weatherstripping after I was told by all the local F100 places that they couldn't be sourced anymore.

BTW, I'd have to rate Summit's ordering system/catalog as about the best i've ever used.

What Ford oval for the grille did you need?

AFAIK, all are still available from Ford.

The first year Ford used one on F Series trucks was 1982.

The first year and model Ford used the blue oval on in recent years, was on the decklid of 1981 Granada's.

Prior to 1981, you have to go back to the 1940's find another blue oval on the exterior of anything.

It was cloisonne (enamel) then, not plastic.

No Ford dealer that I asked around here keeps any of the '80s series F-Truck parts anymore. The size of the F-Truck blue ovals were unique in Oz. No other car/van here had the oval in that size

Didn't know you were in OZ, or that the emblems would be different.

Leave it to Ford to have dozens of blue oval emblems which won't interchange between continents!

Sorry, I should have been clearer, the Aus F100 badges are exactly the same size as the US ones, just that nothing else here used that size.

Hope the OP found his trim pieces...

I found you two lefts at Ford dealers, but you'll still need the right. Notice there are two different types.

I doubt the price will be that high from the dealers.

The parts are obsolete, and past the time the dealers can return them...which means, they're stuck with them.

I'm pretty sure you can use the ones off of the 1987-91 trucks. You will have to drill new holes for the screws that hold them on.

They are shaped different at the top because the older style used 1980-1986 tended to crack at the top.

Not 100% sure they will work, but worth a look anyway.
