Power rear window stopped working

I have a 06 F150 FX4 and the power rear window suddenly stopped working (closed position)? This is one of those things that I would not expect to stop working this soon since it rarely gets used. Has anyone else had this happed and if so where was the problem (motor/connector). The moon roof still works so it cannot be the fuse or relay since they use the same one. I would like to get some input before I start tearing the truck apart. Thanks in advance.

You may want to just pop the switch off and make sure it is still plugged up.

Ditto with black04lariat, the switch's are a common weak link. Take apart and spray with electronic cleaner. Old saying "You dont use it you lose it"

After closer inspection, the switch appears to be working because when I hold the button down to either open or close the window the interior lights dim, but the window does not move and I cannot hear the motor moving. The motor appears to be tucked behind the rear seat. How much of a pain is it to remove the rear seat?

on my o6 it will sometimes stick. YOU may want to try pushing very lightly on the window at the same time get someone to press on the switch. That ususally works for me.

Thanks for the info. I tried pushing on the window while someone pushed the button and nothing moved. The cable that attaches from the drivers side(pulls the window open) is somewhat loose and the cable that attaches on the passenger side(pulls the window closed) seems to be too tight. It looks like the cable on the passenger side is not adjusted properly. The sliding window is shifted in the tray that attached to the cable when the window hits the stop. I had my truck at the dealer today to check into getting the fading fender trim replaces and I checked with them about the rear window. They said it is still under warranty as long as I have not messed with it or have tried to remove the seat. They actually said that removing the seat or installing stereo equipment could void the warranty. I figure while I have the truck at the dealer for replacing the fading fender trim I mine as well have them fix the recall on the intake/brake booster vacuum hose, and fix the power rear window motor. I never had these problems with my older Ford vehicles.

Mine is in the shop for the rear slider, booster hose and roaring rear end. I have had and still have brake issues (29,000 mi), they say is not under warranty. They have to re-build the rear end and fix the booster hose and slider. I told them I would deal with the brakes.

I believe I read on here somewhere the rear sliders are problematic. Glad it was under warranty for ya.

You should be ECSTATIC that they want to remove the rear seat for you. Honestly. If you haven't experienced the "joy" of removing the rear seat in a Screw, consider yourself among the blessed.

Removing the rear seat is one of the easiest things to do on the Screw cab. Just pop off the plastic cover on top of the seat for the middle seat belt. There are two bolts sticking up. Take the nuts off and remove the plastic cover. Then just lift straight up on the seat. Simple and only took me about 5 minutes on my 05 Screw.

There must have been a redesign after 05, cuz it's a pain in the butt now.
