sirius - connection error - contact dealer

Went to drive away this am and listen to 132 (sirius) and in pressing the SR button on my factory NAV unit is immediately says "Connection Error - Contact Dealer"

Does anyone have any ideas?I thought maybe a fuse had gone for the sirius module but I can't find what fuse # is uses... the NAV unit acts as if the module isn't there (no info showing up under Sysinfo).

Thanks

yup it is a lifetime subscription and I did check with sirius and there's no problem at their end. Also, when I go into sysinfo it should show the # of the sirius module, but it's blank.

the only other option i can think of before ripping into the radio or fuses is to have sirius send a re-activation signal to your radio (shouldn't cost anything).

if that doesn't work then i would look at fuses (doubt that is the problem), and then from there on out it could be a connection problem with the antenna setup. last if none of those then there could be an equipment problem.

Connection error-Contact dealer Resolved

I had this exact problem and reset the entire radio and DVD system by removing the "radio" fuse while the system was powered on. It reset the entire unit including the Navigation system and Sirius no longer had error message, but DVD player did. I activated the DVD player from the rear console and the DVD player operated and the connection error was no longer there. Seemed to be an easy fix by simply resetting the system by removing and reinstalling the fuse.
