GTG 2.0 ideas?

I was thinking about a camping trip . We meet a Saturday Morning, Spend the day eating, and doing truck things, and those that want to can camp that night.

Another idea, Off road adventure, Boating trip, Night at the drag strip, during cooler weather a trip down south.

My kids keep pestering me for the date of the next one!!

How about a day at the dirt track? Hollywood casino has a great dirt track with races every Sat.

Well if you have that huge grill guard on the front of your truck you wouldn't have to go very fast, you could just knock them out of the way.

If y'all ever think about havng a git together down south, let me know. Sorry I missed the last one. I was inbetween trips and realllly would have liked to meet ever one.

Anywho, the Forest Service is opening up the Lincoln National Forest again (was closed due to the fire danger) and lots of good camping down here. Good fishing too up Ruidoso way. I'm in pretty good cahoots with the manager of our local dirt track and may be able to swing us a group deal. Our races are on Friday nights and are a blast.

Not sure if y'all have ever heard of the Flyin J Ranch, but it's a Western Show up in Ruidoso. They do a shootem up skit outside then everyone goes in for a meal then afterwards is a concert. Really good family oriented fun time.

Just a few thoughts. I'd be happy to coord it down here if it sounds like anyone may be intersted.

A get together with some real truck activities sounds really fun! I would totally be down for that.

I was thinking of somewhere north during the summer, and south when it cools down.

Summertime is a busy time. Most of my weekends are already accounted for up through early fall. Personally I enjoy Elephant Butte despite the lack of trees and I typically put my jet ski in the water a minimum of once a month, every month. Yes its gets a bit chilly in January and Fabruary when the water temp is close to 40 degrees but on a sunny day its still fun.

As far as road trips are concerned I probably won't be making too many long distance drives in my old 49 as the 4:11 gears keep me driving way to slow. I will try to make out of town meets in either my work truck (2005 F-150) or my motorcycle (94 Road King)

Ruidoso/Cloudcroft areas are beautiful all the time but even more so when it starts to cool down. Good camping, fishing, and lots of trees! Lot's of forest roads for casual driving...
