1966 F250 Cc

It was suggested I post a thread to achieve my aim of acquiring a set of serviceable split rims which accept the 'snap in' (thanks Bill) type of hub caps...and a set of stainless 'snap in' caps....

So, I'm putting up my 1966 Ford F250 (it or it's parts) as a swap...'course it'd make the home life better (a little) if'n I sold it...but......here goes.

ID: F25 YR 748285 (I have the door tag cipher'd)

It's on the SF Bay Area Craigs ..no pictures posted yet...maybe tonight...just do a search on my phone number and it should pop up....

It's rough, not wrecked but rough...grill intact, not too bad, surface rust...damaged driver's side door and where the hinges mount to the frame not smashed in but the door was bent around pert near to the fender... bed in ok condition, 2 saddle tanks etc...I'd like to keep the pre 9/66 (non serif letters) tail gate..Bill says their hard to find...

I'm an open minded person, talk to me. If you want to buy it, let me know 'bout that too.

Dad borrowed my 68 F250 to go "somewhere" a week later I was still driving his car (71 VW Bug)...the most I ever got out of him about where he went, was that a ladder had been required...

Do you have a pic of the wheels you're looking for? Or size?

I have some 8 lug wheels here with the ring/collar around them

I'm looking for the stock 16" inch split rims...they are 8 lug....and the hub caps snap in or rather attach inside the center of the wheel to metal tabs on the wheel.

Split rims of the era also accepted the snap over type of cap...I had those on my 68 with 68 caps..but I'd prefer wheels that matched my spare (the snap in type)..but you know if I can rustle get a set of 1966 10.5 inch snap over caps...I'd be happy.

Oh, you know I can drop my spare and take a picture...will do that.

Dad saw off in the distance what looked like two men dancing in the desert...but it was a state patrol struggling with some dude with one hand handcuffed...the girlfriend was beating on the patrolman. Dad stopped, slapped down the girlfriend, took away the purse she was reaching into and grabbed a'holt of the dude.....that 86 F250 was glad to get back on the hiway.

Post a pic when you can, I know I have 5 or 6 16's that are split rims, but unsure if they are Ford/GM/etc...I'd post up a pic of them, but my Camera quit on me.

If you go to craigs SFBay Area and type in my number 408-310-6611 the advert will pop up with pictures now..

FYI: I'm going to put the tires and wheels from my 1970 on this one they are 16.5 wheels and tires...serviceable, get you there, carry a spare type tires...good tread..just old....they were cracked with I got the truck 9 years ago...

Or email me at tim@ethrael.com and I'll reply back with a more......I took them at pretty hi-res...so each image is like 2MB...

TH1567
The truck was stacked 4 feet pass the cab...he said, get a rope.

My highboy didn't have brakes...so when the traffic backed up on me that afternoon...I just turned the wheel...I piled over the sidewalk, into the gas station, between the cars at the pumps and out on to the other road...battery flew into the fan but was intact but the leads were cut...I broke out the jumper cables, clipped on where the went..fired her up and kept on keepin' on.

Which area of CL did you post in?

You can post to this thread, just upload to a photobucket account, then paste the "img" link to the message body.

It's prety easy...just sign up at photobucket.com, then login and upload your pics.

ONce uploaded, you'll see 4 or 5 different listings of "tags" below your pic you just uploaded....just go (I think) the very bottom one, right click on it..."copy"...then open up a message here and "Paste" the IMG tag, as long as you leave the pic on PB, it'll stay whever you post it...if you delete the pic on PB, then it'll delete the pic whever you posted it to.

Ya know what...I have an old digital camera somewhere (light goes on) I'll see if I can get it to work, take a pic of the wheels I have and see if they'll fit you needs.

The 101 stretched out before me as I rolled through Prunedale...and it seemed like the clutch lost grip...pull over, check out the F100, axel housing broke at the pumpkin...go figure...all I had was a hide a bed on board.

Here, I think are the photobucket links to the wheel I'm looking for.

They are split rim that accept the 'innie' type hubcap....looking for the wheels (4) and 4 stainless hubcaps.

Here's a view of my truck:

Let me know...I'm willing to barter, buy or....

My buddy "Dim" Young fell asleep everytime he got in the cab....so I took to tapping on the brakes now and again and screaming..."Look out"...his eyes would get wide as saucers before he went back to sleep...
