vibration

I have a 2005 f 350 6.0 diesel I have a 3.5 downpipe to the converter then five inch the rest of the way back. I have a k&n cold air intake set up with a superchip program. The exhaust has been on for over a year no problems. Now I have a bad vibration between 40-60 mph. Dealer told me that the exhaust is too heavy and needs more hangers, I put more hangers and they also said that the viration is from the exhaust and it needs to have weights put on. any answers would be great.

never heard of an exhaust causing vibrations unless it was rubbing against something, my bet would be that you could have a u-joint piling up or your carrier bearing needs some attention, also could be tires out of balance maybe some mud on the inside of your rims.

I just finally got through fixing vibration problems in my truck. Needed a hardcore front end alignment, and I had to take the driveshaft into a local shop to have it rebuilt and balanced. Vibrations are now gone.

Exhaust systems won't cause vibrations. And adding weights to your exhaust pipe Man, I would RUN away as fast as I can from that dealer

Have all 4 tires balanced, and check alignment like it was said. Make sure that something is not hanging off your drive shaft as well.

Also, are you using the K&N filter as well? If you are, I'd recommend taking it off and using the stock filter and air box, or a 6637 filter. The K&N does not filter good enough for turbo charged diesels.

I have a 2002 F-350 with a vibration also.
Ive checked everything I could without tearing anything apart.
It gets worse ,when you step on it then when you back off it gets less.
Its getting worse, and I know somethings wrong but cant find it.
Changed the oil in the rear diff and that didnt help.
Everything else seems tight?
