I just got a deer tag for bow Unit 32. Tried for elk Unit 34 but no dice. Know many of guys that got neither. But come January I know where I'll be on the weekends. September for scouting. And seeing how I got this new ATV last week (Polaris 700 EFI X2).

Best of luck! I loved hunting the Capitans. So close to home mostly. But have almost always found deer in there. Just hard to get close enough stalking w/ a bow. Bought loads of new gear this year so hopefully I'll get a good shot.

I need to look into bow hunting. After I got out of the military, I just wasn't into shooting things anymore. But bow hunting is a different story all together.

I put in every year riffle elk and deer...and the last 5 years I haven't got drawn for anything.
IMO...this new lotto system the Game and Fish uses *ucks! My father-in-law and I always enter the same...and we keep getting nothing. For me...I have years to go before getting to old, but he is now 66+ and fears he may not have many years left.
Get this...I got drawn six years ago...and had to hunt with a borrowed 30-06 from my father-in-law. So...later on...before the next hunt...I went and bought a Remington 700 w/scope. Haven't been drawn since! OBTW: The riffle has never been fired! Still waiting to get drawn so that I can go target practice.
