92 pod on my 85 almost done

I got my pod almost done. This pod started out as a 92-97 Ford. I cut the top and bottom off the pod. I bought the pod from Glow Shift. (Good company to deal with.) The plastic isn't really the same measurements as my a pillar post so I had to do a little twisting to get it to fit on to my column trim. Since it was a little twisted using glue was out of option cause of the tension on it so I broke out my fiberglass and resin and Bondo and went to work. I did a few test fits today and the bottom pod clears the dash by like a quarter inch. I plan on having this thing finished by doing some more sanding and final touch up and a shot of paint. I will get more pictures once I get the pod installed on the truck.

I don't know how you are going to be able to view any gauges in there. It looks like the cups are too vertical.

I did a test fit after I got all the fiberglass and bondo work done, the gauges are easy to see, I will post a picture once I get it on permanently, the trim for the A-pillar goes at a pretty good angle.

That should have fit pretty well to begin with. I used a pod for a 87-96 ford in my 85 and the only thing is the mounting surface is round while the pillar trim has an angle. The gap is barely noticeable though. I just attached it with double sided tape. Looks like you're going the extra mile though, good luck.

I got it done, Ive had a few compliments so far on it. Right now im running the amp gauge, oil pressure, and water temperature. I plan on ditching the amp gauge and getting a EGT gauge to replace it on the top pod. At first I had the oil on top but the thing was lacking length to be able to hook it up on the back of the engine. After I get my EGT I am going to replace the other 2 gauges with gauges identical to the EGT.

Should I go digital or not?
