yes. Assuming you are using a 87-96 F250 flywheel like in your second post, I'd say it's no problem, as I believe the tooth count will work with the newer trans' starter. You may want to look into the frame mounts for a v8 instead of the 300 6, though.

you have to go with whatever tooth count that your bellhousing/ starter bolt pattern is designed for unless you want to get a new bellhousing that would fit.
Example:164 tooth flywheel and a starter designed for a 164 tooth with a 164 tooth bell housing and you got a runner.
If you put a 157 tooth flywheel in a bellhousing ment for a 164 tooth flywheel and use a starter for either a 157 or a 164 tooth flywheel, you'll be having to tearing it all apart to replace the flywheel with the right amout of teeth.
