Looking for a job southwest of IL
Hey guys, just wanted to know how hard is it to find a job in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Idaho, South Dakota, Nevada, Utah, really anywhere southwest. Im in Chicago IL right now and do like here at all. I have been living here my whole life and been wanting to move for a long time. I would be looking for construction work or firefighter. Although I never did construction work before I really like working outdoors, I was a carpenter a few years ago till my boss retired. Im 30 years old and still looking for a good job. Any info would be a great help.
Thanks ~Gage~

I've been in KC for a few years now, but once upon a time, unemployment was virtually unheard of in AZ. (There's always a job in Phoenix.) I don't know how badly the housing crash has effected the market out there, but there was always work available for the 20 plus years I lived there.
Good luck!

Construction is booming in this area, Houston. I live in a smaller town north, and there are several malls going in here. The economy here is strong, and has never wavered.
On this subject, the state is hurting for medical workers. 35,000 nurses short. In the Houston Medical Center complex, they are short over 4,000 medical personell of various professions. jd
