Question 1997 F150 3.8L turbo or supercharger

I have a 1997 F150 4.2 v6 that im getting from my dad. The engine is just about shot with 220,000 miles on it. I've been looking at engine swaps and I know that I can put a 3.8 v6 in it. I know that it would be just a headache puting another 4.2 and trying to supercharge of turbocharge it. I want to know if I could theres a mustang v6 turbo or supercharger kit that I could put in that requires little or no modification. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks

I think you can put a 4.2l crank in the 3.8l block for some extra cubes. I can't remember exactly how many. Try to find a t-bird supercoupe because they had a forged crank and rods. The 3.8 blocks are real strong from what I've read. Do some searches on the Mustang sites and The Turbo Forums.com .

i my self have a 1997 ford f-150 that i got from the junk yard with no engine or transmission so i put a 1997 ford thunderbird 3.8 supercharged engine in the truck it will require a little bit of effort cause the back of the supercharger will be hitting the fire wall unless you lift up the cab like i did
