D9TE intake, D9TE-AB block, no casting numbers on outside of heads its got 86 non catalyst valve covers on it, it came out of a 86 F-350 but i was told it wasn't the original engine. what year engines had the head casting numbers under the head?

Ive got a set of E8TE heads with the casting number under the heads. They apparently came on motor homes before they switched to fuel injection. I never was able to find much info on them and didnt really care to look too hard either since they have the emission ports on the outside of the heads and Ive got better heads to mess with.

1979 460s, the first year they changed the block casting from D1VE and made it a externally balanced powerplant. The heads should say D3VE A2A on one of the exhuast ports but if ya cant find a casting code it just might be a mystery.
