Drain valve mod for HFCM

I saw one of these at the dealer last week, but I did not ask the price.
Has anyone used this rig to replace that plug? If so does it fit between the HFCM and the front driveline? I would like to meet that so called engineer in person......just to lay one on him or her!

This rig reminds me of the fuel drain valves on the older GM engines, they were at least functional.

Thanks for any help,

Brewer

I just installed this drain plug, easy install, nice quality item, and only $15 at the local International dealer.

I am finally going to buy a 36mm open and box end wrench for the cap on the filter. My big old 36mm socket works fine for the oil filter on top of the motor and no space restrictions, but it is too crowded down below with the 4 x 4 cross rail and other stuff. If someone knows a better way to get that cap off the frame rail fuel filter housing, let me know.

Check your local auto parts stores for this short 36mm 3/8"drive socket, it fits in there perfect for getting the cap off easy!
