I hear that!! When were you on the Kitty? I was on the Forrestal '76-'79 and we had fires almost every day at sea. Had a real bad one where we almost had to abandon ship near Gitmo. They said one of the forward missile magazines was about to explode from heat conducted through the steel bulkheads from the fire next door.

Hey Chris, I was on the Sh***y Kitty for about three weeks in '84, and about 36 hours in '92. The team I was on based out of her during operation Restore Hope.

I am sure you have seen the news .........went from 700 last night to 3000 this morning no structures lost yet 0% containment bringing in more air support.. they are going to bring in the guard to help it is a bad fire and I feel it will only get worse
