Well, wherever they put you, BE CAREFUL! Fires scare the pee water out of me. I helped fight a fire (a small one ) aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and it was the most terrifying thing in the world.

I hear that!! When were you on the Kitty? I was on the Forrestal '76-'79 and we had fires almost every day at sea. Had a real bad one where we almost had to abandon ship near Gitmo. They said one of the forward missile magazines was about to explode from heat conducted through the steel bulkheads from the fire next door.

Be careful for sure!! Take pics and post up if you can!

Hey Chris, I was on the Sh***y Kitty for about three weeks in '84, and about 36 hours in '92. The team I was on based out of her during operation Restore Hope.

Morning Ken, I'm sure that Randy will fill us in at some point. The fire is burning in the Manzano Mountains, and it sounds like it is pretty rough terrain for the fire fighters. But have faith Randy is a PRO-FETCHIN-AL.

Morning New Mexico. I can feel the weekend coming....
