I got 93 F150's 4.9L

Well I got this free but truck was scrap due serious rust on frame that would bend so easy.

That engine have 70,000 miles but most it sit so what best to check make sure it good? Just replace rings, bearing, and rod then it be fine?

One big problem I have another 86 F250 with no motor but it is carb. how hard to convert to fuel injector?

Or convert this motor to carb that should be great but want know how hard to do that.

What hp or torque it produce for this? Would it fit C6 with 4x4?

If I had a 4.9 block with relatively low miles (in terms of 240/300's). I probably wouldnt do anything.

Change the oil/filter...do a compression test and check oil pressure, if they are within reason, Id run it as is....but thats me. If you wanna tear into the block and do an overhaul, knock yourself out.

If your interested in HP I think your easiest approach would be to convert your efi block to carb. Simply swap the carb/intake/distributor over to the efi block. Keep the efi exhaust manifolds, just because they are better than the stock single outlet exh manifold. Unless you plan to use long tube headers, then stick them on ebay.

I would keep it efi for a couple reasons. One being its the mass air version. Two being, your content with mild stock. Three being, you plan to modify it and use a standalone efi controller.

As far as the C6, if it has the small block bellhousing (302/351w) and or was originally installed behind your carb 300, then yeah, it will fit, just use the C6 flexplate. If you plan on keeping the efi engine fuel injected, then you will need to be sure you have the correct throttle linkage/throttle body to operate the C6. Same applies to the carb setup, if the C6 wasnt originally behind your carb engine, youll need to be sure you have the correct linkage to operate the C6.

You didnt specify which engine the F250 was currently set up for, if it was anything other than a 300 engine, then you will need engine frame mounts/towers, specific to the 300 engine.

What hp and tq will it produce? Stock engine = stock power

I see exhaust it have 2 so I thought it must help push exhaust air out quick.

Would those exhaust fit 79 4.9L?

I rather apart this because it have lot leak around gaskets.

I couldn't believe it so heavy and no one help me lift this. I end use Ford 601 tractor to lift it.

Are those motor use cheap bearing that cause fail at 120,000 miles? I heard that bearing in that worn out fast than 70's or 80's motor.

The EFI exhaust manifolds will fit any 300 block.

A number of things can lead to bearing failure that have nothing to do with the quality of the bearing.

Where can I get Intake, dist, and header? I want header that was with carb because I think header on this motor don't like carb but not sure.

Would fuel injector's header work with carb or it too much work to try?

Will replace freeze plugs be good idea? I look at it seem good no rust.

check out your local junkyards for the dist., also a stock intake if you want one. If you want more power, get a dual plane intake ($253 from Jegs). Your EFI manifolds will work pretty good with a carb engine but if you want headers you can buy them from Summit or Jegs.
