I am ordering a 2008 Job#3 F350 4x4 DRW 6.4 with 3.73 gears and the dealer claims I can't add "Monobeam wide track front suspension w/ Extended Axle" because of the 3.73 gear choice. The dealer claims this option is limited to gear ratios 4.10 or higher.

Fact or Fiction?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I kinda has to do with the tow rating.

 

Or that its an F450 axle so its F450 ratios you have to choose from?

 

F450s don't get either 4:10 or 3:73s... has to do with tow rating.

 

I've got it on my F350, and it's great. Turns better than my 06 Dodge that I traded in. Only thing is the 4.10 rear-end. Can't get very far on a tank of fuel!
