Electrical Connectors - What kind does Ford Use?

Can anyone tell me what type of electrical connectors Ford uses? Specifically on the fuel pump for the 6.0? They don't look like weather-pack or metri-pack. Similar to Molex, but not quite.

Thanks for the help.

whatca buildin'?...

IIRC most people call them molex and i don't know if that's correct either...if you need one for a project, you might get friendly with a local tech and he can cut a pigtail off for you..

when i put my fuel system in, i'll do the above and have a seperate connector for coil voltage to the new pump's relay...i'll leave the factory HFCM in place as a back up..if there's a problem, i can unplug one and go to the other..

That's my plan. I'm running a Fass HPFP. My plan is to take power from the stock pump harness, run it to a 5 pole relay that is controlled by one of the Upfitter switches. Flip the switch and it shuts off the stock pump and powers up the Fass pump. I'd like to do it all with factory harnesses.

Thanks!

I had a feeling it was something like that....

post your progress..you get a fully auto system (switching fuel inlets and outlets between pumps) and i may follow right in your footsteps...good luck..

My system will be fully auto, except that it will have two completely separate fuel systems, tank, filter, pump, fuel lines. The new fuel lines will come in the back of the head. If you wanted to use the stock fuel system and run two pumps you would have to break into the aluminum fuel lines and tee off to the new pump. You would also have to install some check valves in the system to prevent pressurized fuel from going back to the tank.

that sounds really good...

i plan on a simple 3 way valve set up with a larger tank pickup and lines feeding both pumps...a 3 way before the pumps will keep them from backfeeding to the tank even if i tee them back together after the pumps..then a regulated return up top to control pressure..i have a 44 gal tank already so i really don't need to carry more fuel...the stock HFCM will only be a back up and hopefully rarely used..

if i add a relay for the pumps and a 3 way valve w/solenoid i can make it auto also....hmmmmmmmmm

what's the purpose for your system?...i simply need a larger volume of fuel than stock can handle...as it is, i have times when i'm at 40psi and that's a little low for my liking...

My second tank will contain vegetable oil. Two completely separate systems that will both be used on a daily basis. I'll have pics available in a couple weeks when I'm done.
