jmattor is starting off with a positive reputation.
One of the first things I fabricated for my E350 was an enlarged air intake to compliment the Banks exhaust since the only intake Banks made was for motorhomes.
The stock plastic part just seemed so very restrictive and frankly, there isn't much room under the hood of the van, so I was limited in what I could do.

I basically enlarged the stock configuration - molded a composite part that fits perfectly as a direct replacement for the O.E.M. part

Short of cutting a hole in the hood this was the best I could come up with.

I made a few for friends and they seem to think it works.

That looks pretty good. Must be nice having the resources to do something like that.

Thanks, I'm very fortunate indeed. But on the other hand, I don't own a '67 Stang so I still have some things to shoot for!

ClydeSDale is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I'm so often amazed by the things we can accomplish when we have the resources (excellent word choice Sycostang) to work with.

Nice job jmattor! Looks very professional.

Here's another shot comparing the stock part with the one I made. It has a significant increase in volume, however it's still restricted by the size of the opening at the grill.

I had an idea of how to fix that but never got around to tackling it.
