axle code?
my dad has a 2005 f-250 4x4 fx4. in the door it has the axle code "3L" which gear ratios does it have 3:73LS or 4:10LS?

axle codes
the way to find out what rear end gears or axle ratio you dads truck has, you need to crawl underneath it and look for a metal tag attached to one of the rear diff cover bolts. it will tell you what the ratio is. easiest way to find that out.
