okay, scenario- have two classic trucks. gas goes to 5$. try to sell one and buy an econo box. no one is buying. everyone is selling. truck's market value is worthless. i know my truck is not going to the scrap yard so i have no choice but to keep it, im not giving it away. just my problem at the moment, lol

Already been there on that one. Sold my crewcab that would get 11 mpg and bought a 2003 cobra mustang that gets 25mpg. Sorry to see the old girl go but the stang is a lot of fun.

I can tell you guys that gas $$ has killed the value of our trucks. I watch sales and auctions all the time and trucks that were bringing 5-6 grand six months ago are lucky to bring $2500 - $3000 now. I was fortunate to sell one of mine in Jan of this year and it brought good money but could not get near what it sold for now. I've been trying to help a friend sell a '77 F150 4x4 thats as solid as it gets and can't get more than $2800 bid on it. A few months ago it would have brought double that but not now. I still have a '77 beater that I will just keep instead of giving it away.

Yeah - this market BLOWS! I learned that when trying to sell my stupid explode-ition earlier this year. Could barely give the thing away. After 5 months for sale and a $5k price drop it left my hands and I felt I needed some more vasoline...

IF you CAN keep the truck do so. I could never see letting my crew go for so cheap. Then again I kind of wish I would have waited to buy my crew til now. I could have saved a couple grand...

that's the "beauty" of computers (or the lazyness of people today). You can sit at home and look at pics of whatever you want to buy to make sure it's worth the drive to where ever the sellers is.
